ERSE - Entidade Reguladora dos Serviços Energéticos
ERSE is a legal person governed by public law, endowed with administrative and financial autonomy and its own assets, governed by its Statutes approved by Decree-Law no. 97/2002, of 12 April, amended by Decree-Law no. 212/2012, of 25 September, in the wording of Decree-Law no. 84/2013, of 25 June. ERSE is independent in the exercise of its functions, within the framework of the law, without prejudice to the guiding principles of the energy policy set by the Government, under constitutional and legal terms, and to acts subject to ministerial approval under the terms of the law and its statutes. In carrying out its activity, its mission is to adequately protect the interests of consumers, in particular consumers who are economically vulnerable in relation to prices, quality of service, access to information and security of supply, to promote competition between agents involved in the markets, namely in the within the scope of the internal energy market, guaranteeing companies in the regulated sectors exercised under a public service regime, the economic-financial balance within the scope of adequate and efficient management, contributing to the progressive improvement of economic and environmental conditions, and also arbitrating and resolving disputes, promoting extrajudicial dispute resolution. This entity is also responsible for the annual update of the tariffs for access to the networks, that is, the transport and distribution of electricity, this amount is included in the price of energy applied to the electricity consumption that appears on the bills of all consumers. In compliance with the provisions of the RQS Quality of Service Regulation, in order to initiate the monitoring history in terms of quality of service provided to customers of Enforcesco SA, which is an energy trader in the liberalized market, the general indicators are included here of Commercial Service Quality, which define customer satisfaction, as well as the result of the implemented implementations.
